Silesian Digitarium. Digitization and sharing of resources of cultural institutions of the Silesian Voivodeship.

 

Śląskie Digitarium is a project carried out by four cultural institutions of the Silesian Voivodeship: the Silesian Library (project leader) and the Regional Institute of Culture, the "Silesia Film" Film Institute and the Silesian Opera in Bytom. The aim of the project is to digitize and make available the cultural resources of the Silesian Voivodeship through a comprehensive system of digitization, archiving and presentation of collections. As a result, 153 TB of data will be created, and a total of over 93,000 will be made available to the Internet audience. objects presenting writing documents, films, antique exhibits as well as props and opera costumes. The resources will be presented as part of the modernized Silesian Digital Library. The culmination of the project will be the creation of an aggregator - a regional access service, indexing and presenting data from selected websites, including: Silesian Digital Library, audiovisual service, Encyclopedia of the Silesian Voivodeship, regional education textbook, regional bibliography and the OPAC catalog of the Silesian Library. 

The planned total value of the project is PLN 37,847,345.92
The planned total eligible expenditure of the project is PLN 37,817,149.48, including EU co-financing in the amount not exceeding PLN 32,144,577.06.
The project implementation period is from April 2, 2018 to December 31, 2021.
